giving kids an appetite for reading
With our partnerships with elementary schools and other non-profits, our Feed the Reader Road Show encourages parents and children to read together on a daily basis.

Read and Feed is a 501(C)(3) corporation founded in 2006. We are a tax deductible, non-profit corporation. The success of our Feed the Reader Road Show depends on financial backing from generous donors who provide support for our mobile classroom, books, evening meals and volunteer recruitment and training.

We are a group of volunteers who have one objective —

To bridge the gaps of reading deficiencies for low income elementary students in Wake County, North Carolina.
“I have been in education all of my career, and Read and Feed is the best program I have ever witnessed."
Our concept is to combine a mobile classroom, a child friendly atmosphere, books, food, and tutors to motivate children to become confident in their academic skills so they have every opportunity to succeed in adult life.
